Steel 1.4313 has a good strength and toughness properties in combination with good corrosion resistance and realiable weldability.
Applications
Steel is used for parts subjected to high mechanical stress in fittings and pump construction, for compressors and turbine in hydroelectric power station,and in crude oil and refrigerating systems.

Soft Annealing
Heat to 600-650oC, cool slowly in furnace.
Hardening
Harden from a temperature of 950-1050oC followed by oil or air quenching.

QT 650: 650-700oC + 600-620oC
QT 780: 550-600oC
QT 900: 520-580oC
Structure after tempering is martensit with small ferrite component.
